W2JKT Forum - Terms of use

Welcome to the W2JKT Forum. Before you create an account, please read the forum rules. Clicking “I agree to these terms” below means you agree to follow them.

1. Be kind. Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, name-calling, mockery, personal attacks, harassment or piling on. Rude or hostile behavior will not be tolerated. Everyone was a new ham once, so newcomers’ questions get patient answers.

2. Keep it clean. No profanity, including disguised spellings (f**k, $h!t and the like), and no crude or sexual content.

3. Stay on topic. Station software, ham radio, equipment, projects and emergency communications. Politics and religion stay off the board.

4. No spam or selling. No ads, affiliate links or unsolicited commercial posts. Sharing your own project or build is welcome.

5. Keep it legal. Nothing that encourages operating outside your license privileges, intentional interference, or other violations of FCC Part 97 (or your own country’s rules).

6. Protect privacy. Don’t post other people’s personal information.

How moderation works. Your first post is reviewed before it appears. After that, posts are checked by AutoMod, an automated moderator that uses an AI model to look for profanity and hostile behavior; post text is sent to Anthropic for that review. If AutoMod flags a post, the post is hidden and your account is placed under review: you can still read and write, but your posts wait for approval until the admin has looked at your posting history. AutoMod never deletes posts or bans anyone; a person makes the final call. Repeated or serious violations can lead to a ban.

We may change them at any time and will announce changes in News & Announcements; continuing to use “W2JKT Forum” after a change means you accept the updated terms. The IP address of each post is recorded to help enforce these terms.
